Watch A Family's Dreams Become Reality

Date   Description
Oct. 18th, 2010
Well. the house is almost done, landscaping is in and dedication is scheduled for Sunday Oct 24th.
Sept 11th, 2010    The house has now been painted. We still have touch up and trim to do. The kitchen is ready for cabinets!
Sept 4th, 2010    The house has now been primed, all interior doors painted, some walls and ceiling. The kitchen, and utility areas are completely painted.
August Summary August was a very busy month for us. We were able to complete all exterior house work including siding, roofing, and gutters. We also finished any final framing and sheetrock installation with the help of Merrill Lynch/Bank of America and Trinity Church. After hiring pros to tape and spackle all the wall, we ended the month installing all interior doors and painting all doors and molding.

With the extremely generous donation from Sherwin Williams, we go into September ready to paint the house, install the flooring, cabinets and appliances.
July 17th- 18th On Saturday, we had a large turnout of both 'regulars' and some new helpers.  We were able to complete ALL the inspector's punch list items, side soffits and start sheetrocking.

On Sunday, the employees from Ruth Chris helped us continue our sheetrocking and siding.
July 15th After several weekends of spotty weather and holidays, we have been able to get back to the project.

The front porch is coming along and most of the siding is complete. We've passed our rough in electrical inspection and expect to have final framing approvals this week.
June 30th Bracco Diagnostics joined our affiliate for a day of both team building and house building.  In addition, they brought along a very sizeable donation to our affiliate.

Thank you Bracco!
June 26th- 27th While we had light turnout on Saturday, a veritable feast was provided by Beverly Williams from the United Methodist church.

On Sunday the Cranbury Lions helped us work on the siding.
June 19th 2nd Floor Interior Scaffolding & Siding While Sunday was a day off for all our Fathers, we were able to have significant progress on the siding of the house.
June 12th-13th This Weekend United Stationers helped out along with some of our regulars. We were able to side most of the 1st floor of the house and take our final delivery of building supplies.
June 5th Despite the 90' plus weather, the volunteers worked past 4:00 PM to get ALL the windows & exterior doors installed.

Siding was also started
May 21-23th With the help of Bracco, Diagnostics, the Youth United and our two cyclists Mike Linskey and Kathleen Oroho (participants in the Bike and Build Capitol Ride), we were able to start and complete the installation of all the 1st floor windows.

Plumbers also arrived to rough-in the entire house.
May 10-16th With the help of some professional roofers, United Methodist Church and many dedicated volunteers, the house is COMPLETELY framed out and we have a roof and sheathing on most of the walls.
April 30 - May 2 As you can see, we have been very busy little builders. With an extra Friday build, and this weekend, we completed the exterior walls of the 2nd floor and all major interior walls. If all goes well, we will have our roof on by next week!
April 24th Although Sunday was a washout, significant progress was made on the 2nd floor on Saturday.
April 18th Today the Mercer County AG's office lent a hand to continue our sheathing and make our house look like a giant white present.
April 17th Today Black Rock joined us for our build.  We were able to get the joists, and most of the 2nd floor decking installed along with a significant portion of the wall sheathing.

I want to thank the Black rock team for an excellent build!
