Where Did We Come From?
The Millstone Basin Area affiliate was formed in October, 1990, carved out of an area of
Mercer and Middlesex counties not previously served by Habitat for Humanity. Read below to
learn more about our history.
Fall 1999 - Yard Sale Raises Funds
ONE PERSON'S TRASH -- Standing with unsold items from the recent Habitat for Humanity yard sale on the grounds of the Methodist Church on Stockton Street in Hightstown, are (l-r) Judy Hall, Gene Van Kirk, Claire Hinman, and Carol Kientz. According to Ms. Hall, "quite a bit of stuff was donated". The unsold pair of enameled steel bedpans (one being held by Mr. Van Kirk) prompted some discussion about the relative merits of metal versus plastic for that application.
